Wallpaper loves Belgium
Wallpaper confirms what we already know: Belgium is a design nation! For the very first time, the international design, fashion and lifestyle magazine Wallpaper includes Belgium in its top ten style and design nations.
Showcasing the country’s best design, the Belgian section includes works by both established and emerging talents. Rising star Alain Berteau and his design and manufacturing company Objekten, which was an instant success after its launch in 2011, are featured together with established names such as Michaël Verheyden, Tamawa and Bram Boo.
Wallpaper* editor-in-chief Tony Chambers says: “The best design speaks to us, as we discovered when we toured the globe seeking out inspiring new pieces and exciting talent, young and established, for this special issue. Belgium has been on our radar for some time now and was an obvious choice for our top ten list.” Who knows, maybe he’s an avid I Love Belgium reader.
Each of the ten territories has been given its own section in the April issue, and a unique cover designed by celebrated illustrator UK-based Noma Bar. The April issue of Wallpaper* is out now, so get yourself a copy! And if you love the Belgian cover created with the designs of star- designer Sylvian Willenz, then get the limited-edition print at Wallpaper.com/nomabar.
